## Missions: how to earn points

Missions are certain predefined tasks you can complete to help amplify the reach and success of Cronos.\\

* Once you are a verified Cronos Ambassador, you will **get access to Missions in the Ambassador Discord channels.**\\
* Missions are grouped per contribution track (see section Contribution Tracks) such as localization, education, content creation and more.\\
* By completing Missions and providing ‘Proof of Work’ \*wink nudge\*, you become eligible to earn points…\\
* …**each Mission earns you a certain amount of points**, which all go towards your total points needed to go up in Rank.\\
* Check out the Ambassador Leaderboard where you can check your points in the overall Ambassador rankings.

## Moving up in Rank

The Cronos Ambassador Program is designed as a **seasonal journey of growth and leadership.** Each season runs for **3 months**, at the end of which ambassadors may be promoted (or demoted) to the next rank.

### Promotion Timing

* Promotions are only evaluated at the end of each season (every 3 months).
* Ambassadors can only move up one rank per season, regardless of total points earned.
* Example: even if a Rookie earns 1,000 points, they can only be promoted to Envoy in that season.

### Points as Minimum Requirement

* Each rank has a minimum point threshold that must be reached within the season to be considered for promotion.
* Points reflect both the effort and impact of missions completed.
* Seasonal Reset: At the start of every new season, the points leaderboard resets to zero for all ambassadors, ensuring a fair playing field.
* Lifetime Recognition: While seasonal points reset, ambassadors’ lifetime points are tracked for recognition and special honors (e.g. Hall of Fame, long-term perks).

### Peer Evaluations

* At the end of every season, peer evaluations are conducted.
* Ambassadors review one another’s contributions, collaboration and community spirit.
* These evaluations are combined with points to ensure promotions reward not only output, but also character, reliability and teamwork.
